Chair's Motion to Extend the Life of the 8th Parliament by One Day
Noting that the earliest date that this House can finish the business before it - without a motion to move SO 2017-15 to a vote laid down within the next few hours - pursuant to the Parliamentary Procedure Orders as they currently stand, is Thursday March 2, 2017;
The Chair hereby asks leave of the House to unilaterally extend the duration of this Parliament by two days, until the end of Thursday March 2, 2017, exceptionally WAIVING Article IV Section 3 Subsection 1 of the Constitution.
Further introductions of bills will be formally suspended following the passage of this motion.
The Chair deems that this motion requires a unanimous vote in favor with a quorum of 6 Senators before the end of Tuesday February 28, 2017.
The chair submits this motion directly to a vote, considering the strict time limit that it requires.

LibDem votes against. This bill is illegal. No Act or Motion of Parliament may "waive" the Constitution. Ever.
