What if we had Sirius and Terran and the other Terran have their own star systems, and the rest of us share a star system? That would be pretty interesting, imo.

Yes! Its a good map. However,
a) I still think we should have it pre-sectionned off into small parcels that we can haggle over, before we go any further, and
b) I know this is probably implied anyways, but we should probably, for esthetic's sake, have a uniform outline / equal thickness, shadow etc.

Abdoa, I am not sure how to do the second thing, and I thought I would leave the first thing up to you, LibDem and Nassau-Windsor; unless you would like me to do it.

For my Interstellar Nations, aka the Conglomerate Empire of Sirius Knight, and all my puppet states with the exception of the Scandinavian Federation State which is based on Earth, I think that an alliance capital for both 5 nations on the map is way better.
