SO 2017-32 Electoral Precedence Act Voting
Electoral Precedence Act 2017
An Act to regulate the precedence among constitutional elections, non-constitutional elections, and regional polls.
WHEREAS there are to be held various elections and various polls within Our Region;
WHEREAS there has not yet been set out an order of precedence;
BELIEVING that there should be made provisions for the precedences of such elections and polls;
BE IT ENACTED by Us, by and with the advice and consent of Parliament, and by the authority of the same, as follows:-
Article 1
Elections and regional polls to be held at Our Regional Page, shall be conducted in the following order of precedence if the dates set for them (partially) overlap each other, or when no especial date has been assigned to them yet, that does not overlap another election or poll:
1) The election of a new Founder;
2) An election of the position of President;
3) An election for the position of Prime Minister;
4) A Parliamentary Election;
5) Another election for a specific position or office, mentioned in Our Constitution;
6) A by-election for the position of President;
7) An election for the position of Prime Minister;
8 ) A Parliamentary By-Election;
9) Another by-election for a specific position or office, mentioned in Our Constitution;
10) Another election or by-election for a specific position or office, mentioned in an Act of Parliament;
11) Any other (by-)election or regional poll, their precedence being determined by the date they were asked for to be held, and if it be the same, by the discretion of the Founder or other official presiding over the vote.
Article 2
If an election as set out in number 1 of Article 1 of this Act is to be held, and there is already any other vote being taken, that vote shall be interrupted, unless it ends within 24-hours.
Article 3
If an election as set out in number 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, or 7 of Article 1 of this Act is to held, and there is already any other vote as set out in number 8, 9 or 10 of the aforementioned Article being taken, that vote shall be interrupted, unless it ends within 24-hours.
Article 4
Further regulations concerning the precedence of elections and polls aforementioned may be made by the Founder at his discretion, as long as they do not violate an Act of Parliament and do not obstruct the proper way of order within the Region.
Article 5
This Act may be cited as "[The] Electoral Precedence Act 2017".

NASSAU-WINDSOR, LSM, of the Parliamentary Union of Nations and of all Our other Realms and Territories President.
TO Our trusty and well-beloved Members of Parliament and to other Members of Our Region whatsoever to whom these Presents shall come, Greeting!
FORASMUCH as in Our said Parliament this Act has been agreed upon by you Our trusty and well-beloved Members of the Tenth Session of Parliament, in accordance with the provisions of the Law, and have presented it to Us for Our Presidential Assent;
THE title of which reads as follows: “Electoral Precedence Act 2017”;
BUT the said Act is not of force and effect in the law without Our Presidential Assent, noting also that Our Presidential Desk is the accustomed place for giving Our Presidential Assent to such Acts as have been agreed upon by you said Members of Parliament;
WE have therefore caused these Our Letters Patent to be made and have signed them and by them do give Our Presidential Assent to the said Act;
WILLING that the said Act shall be of the same strength, force and effect as if We had been personally present in the Voting Chamber of Parliament and had there publicly and in the presence of you all assented to the same;
COMMANDING that these Our Presents do hereby declare this Our Presidential Assent endorse the said Act in Our name as is requisite and to record these our Letters Patent and the said Act in manner accustomed;
AND FINALLY WE do declare that after this Our Presidential Assent given and declared as is aforesaid then and immediately the said Act shall be taken and accepted as good and perfect Act of Parliament and be put in due execution accordingly.
IN WITNESS whereof We have caused these Our Letters to be made Patent.
WITNESS Ourself at Our Presidential Desk the sixteenth day of May in the year of two-thousand and seventeen.
