You should open this discussion at the citizens forum instead at the drafting table. ==

What do we say to having a government committee on this? It could gauge opinion, and report back to me on it, and then we can pass a bill through Parliament.

Re: Official Sport of the Union
I don't think we need a committee. We should just put out a poll with all the various options.

Re: Official Sport of the Union
The advantage of a committee is that they can write the bill together; if we just hold a poll, someone has to come up with the bill on their own, without collaboration, which makes for lots of amendments at the debate stage.
Re: Official Sport of the Union
I am going to propose a new sport, Panzerfahren(or tank driving).Panzer Fahren (English: Tank Driving) is a sport played between two teams of five to twenty armored vehicles with equal battle values. It was founded in 2009 in the Federal Republic of Northeastern Nations and is currently only played in a handful of countries worldwide. The game is played on a cordoned-off square mock battlefield with the objective usually being the immobilization of all opposing team's vehicles.
Panzer Fahren is played in accordance to the League Regulations composed in 2011. Two teams of up to twenty vehicles and no less than five compete to immobilize all opposing team's vehicles, and therefore winning the match. The team with the last unit standing is the winner. In the event that all vehicles are immobilized, the match ends in a draw. Each team, or squadron, is led by a squadron leader who is responsible for strategy, planning, and communicating orders to their team members. At no point in the match can any person leave their vehicle for safety reasons. If any single person does, their team is disqualified.
Teams are positioned in deployment zones on opposite sides. When a match starts, the entire battlefield is free game and there are no regulations as to where one may position their vehicles in battle. At a professional level, most matches last for several hours, sometimes even extending into a second or third day. Rules and regulations are enforced by spotter planes and UAVs flying over the game field. Any team caught violating League Regulations can be penalized or disqualified.
