Amendments to SO 2015-2 the Constitution Act
Article I: Introduction
Having observed the unique failure of various constitutional amendments passed by Parliament at the regional referendum, frequently unanimously passed but lacking a quorum, we, the Parliament of the Union, propose to set the threshold for the passage of a constitutional amendment by the people at 2/3 of those voting, down from 2/3 of the population.
Article II: Amendments
It is ordered that Article III, Section B, Subsection B, clause 3, sub-clause A of SO 2015-2 the Constitution Act be amended to read as follows:
“An amendment will not advance to “Voting Stage 3” unless it receives the vote of 2/3 of those voting in the five-day regional poll, and will be considered rejected.”
Article III: Conclusion
We, the Parliament of the Union, hereby enact this document and its provisions into law and order them to be applied in a timely fashion.
